The best Cobblemon servers all have the same catch: you can't just paste an IP into regular Minecraft and walk in. Cobblemon is a mod, so every server wants you running its exact modpack, at its version, before the connection works. So for each server below you get the address, the pack and the version, plus what it's actually like to play there. I checked every entry in October 2026, and player counts are one moment on one day, so treat them as a rough sense of how busy a place is.
Every address and pack comes from the server's own site or its Modrinth page. All nine run Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1 on Fabric.
How to join a Cobblemon server
Short version: install the server's modpack in a launcher app, make sure the pack version matches the server's, then add the address under Multiplayer.
- Install the Modrinth App or the CurseForge app. Cobblemon's own page recommends the Modrinth App, and Prism Launcher works too. If you're weighing launchers, my roundup of the best Minecraft launchers covers them.
- Search for the modpack using the exact name from the table below and install it.
- Check that the pack version is the one the server lists. If the versions don't match, you'll get a "Mismatched Version(s)" error and no amount of retrying will fix it.
- Launch the pack, open Multiplayer, add the server address and connect.
You can also install Cobblemon by hand: drop the mod files in your mods folder, with Fabric API for Fabric or Kotlin for Forge for NeoForge. Packs are easier because the launcher pulls in every dependency for you. The general joining steps are in my guide on how to join a Minecraft server, and if you're picking between packs, see the best Minecraft modpacks.

Notice the version split. Cobblemon.com is pushing "Update 1.8" now, and some servers have moved to it while others, like Complex, MMO Realms and Rivals, are still on packs built around 1.7.3. Servers lag the mod, so always install what the server asks for rather than whatever's newest.
Complex Cobblemon: the biggest crowd
Complex had 1,475 players online when I looked, the highest count of any Cobblemon server I checked on Modrinth. The network behind it has been running since 2016. You'll need the Complex Cobblemon pack (1.7.3b) and the address modrinth.mc-complex.com.
It's gym-heavy: 18 gyms to beat in order, a Battle Tower, a Battle Cafe, ranked battles, and tournaments every four hours. There are also all the Megas plus Tera, free natural legendary spawns, world boss raids every 45 to 60 minutes, graded dungeons, clans and a player economy. It has a store too. If you already run the COBBLEVERSE modpack, Complex says it supports that too.
Good: there's always something happening, and the gym run gives you a real goal.
Not so good: the pack wants 3 to 5 GB of RAM (4 is the sweet spot), and the Elite Four is still marked "coming soon". Modrinth showed its last update as about four months back.
Cobblemon.gg: the easy first server
Cobblemon.gg has the cleanest on-ramp on the list. Install the pack through Modrinth or CurseForge, add cobblemon.gg, done. The pack is "Cobblemon.gg - Ultimate Pokemon Experience" 3.9, and 415 people were on when I checked.
You get 8 custom gyms, an Elite Four, raids, dungeons, clans, PvP ladders, claims and breeding. The server says it has an optional store for cosmetics and rank perks, and that all gameplay content is free for everyone.
Good: simple install and a full feature set.
Not so good: it's busy, so it's not the cosy-community pick.
LemonCloud Cobblemon: one mode of a bigger network
LemonCloud runs Cobblemon next to Prison, Factions and Skyblock. For Cobblemon you use cobblemon.lemoncloud.org with the Cobblemon Optimised pack (1.8.2). It had 380 online, with gyms, legendary and shiny hunts, fishing and Pokédex milestones.
Its store lists Cobblemon ranks, rank upgrades, crate keys, items and perks, and claim blocks. Read that list before you spend anything.
Good: a busy server with a lot of hunting content.
Not so good: it's a network, so Cobblemon is one mode among several rather than the whole point.
Cobblemon Delta: the feature-packed mid-size pick
Delta had 295 online. Join with the Cobblemon Delta pack (4.4.2) at play.cobblemondelta.com. It's the one with the odd extras: raids, Mega Evolution, dungeons, Area Zero, Ultra Space, a fishing minigame, NPC gyms, a player-run Elite 4, ranked battles and a Safari Zone. It has a store too.
Good: lots of unusual content for a server this size.
Not so good: a lot of systems means a lot to learn on day one.
MMO Realms Cobblemon: your own build space
MMO Realms hands every player a personal Realm, a private world for building, alongside region-based gyms that start with Kanto. The Wilds reset, there's a player economy, breeding, Megas and hunts. Use the MMO Realms Cobblemon pack (1.7.3b) at modrinth.mmorealms.gg. It had 142 online and supports English, Spanish, French and German. It has a store.
Good: if you like building as much as catching, this is the one.
Not so good: it's on a 1.7.3-era pack, so it isn't on the 1.8 update yet.
Cobblemon Ascendant: the roguelite twist
Ascendant adds "Depths", a PokeRogue-style roguelite mode, on top of eight gyms, an Elite Four, a Champion, dungeons, a battle tower, a ranked ladder and an auction house. Use the Cobblemon Ascendant pack (1.1.5, Cobblemon 1.8) at play.cobblemonascendant.gg. It recommends about 6 GB of RAM. Only 22 were online, but Modrinth showed it updated two weeks earlier.
The server says it's free to join with the full progression path open without buying anything. It also says optional ranks come with "clearly listed convenience benefits and recurring kits", so it isn't cosmetics-only.
Good: the most original idea on the list, and it's actively updated.
Not so good: a small crowd, and a heavier pack, at about 6 GB of RAM.
Cobblemon Rivals: a newer server with all the battle modes
Rivals only showed up on Modrinth the month before, and it had 21 online. The pack is Cobblemon Rivals (1.7.3) at play.cobblemonrivals.com. It has player and NPC gyms, ranked battles, raid bosses, legendaries, a battle tower, and Megas, Dynamax, Tera and Z-Moves. You also get breeding, GTS and Wondertrade, land claiming and keep inventory. Cobblemon.com lists it as a verified server. It has a store.
Good: every battle gimmick in one place.
Not so good: a new server with a small crowd can fade, so check it's still up before you install the pack.
Blaze Gaming: slow-burn seasons
Blaze has run Pixelmon since 2018 and launched its Cobblemon side on December 4, 2025. Both live at play.mc-blaze.com, so double-check you grab the Cobblemon Plus+ pack on Modrinth or CurseForge (Cobblemon 1.8.2). Only 12 were online. It's on a season called Infinity I, seasons reset roughly yearly, and the overworld is 15,000 by 15,000. You get keep inventory, Daily Bingo, Modifiers, voting rewards and a monthly tournament. Its FAQ says there's no breeding or Mega Evolution on the Cobblemon server.
The server calls itself free to play with an optional store. The store sells ranks (Comet is 9.99 USD) and crate keys (five Master Keys are 19.99 USD). It says other players' Pokémon, unbans, staff roles, tournament placings and rule exemptions are never for sale. If you're also weighing Pixelmon, my Pixelmon servers list has the other side of that choice.
Good: a clear line on what money can't buy, and a nice quiet world.
Not so good: few players online, and no breeding or Megas.
Cobblemon IMPACT: probably skip for now
IMPACT is the quiet one. It's at 104.204.220.40:25565 with the Cobblemon IMPACT pack (1.0.0), and it had nobody online when I checked, though Modrinth showed 179 recent plays. Modrinth flags it as containing paid features: Pokémon skins, ranks and some crates. Cobblemon.com lists it with gyms. I'd pick any server above first.
Cobblemon servers with gyms
Nearly every server here has gyms, but they're not the same thing. Complex has 18 in order, MMO Realms has region-based ones starting with Kanto, Cobblemon.gg has 8 custom gyms, and Ascendant has eight plus a Champion. Delta and Rivals both have NPC gyms, and Delta adds a player Elite 4. Cobblemon.com's server list can filter by a Gyms tag, plus Tournaments, Raids, Competitive and Family Friendly, if you want to browse further.
Is there Cobblemon on Bedrock?
No. Cobblemon is a Java Edition mod; Modrinth lists it for Minecraft: Java Edition only. The servers say the same. Blaze Gaming's FAQ says Pixelmon and Cobblemon don't support Bedrock, and Complex says Java only, not Bedrock. If you're on console or a phone, you'd need a Java Edition copy on a PC. My guide to Minecraft servers to join covers good options for each edition.
Are there official Cobblemon servers?
No. Cobblemon.com says it has no official servers. The ones on its list are community-run servers that the Cobblemon team has verified, and the list is shuffled on every visit. You can also find servers in the #server-listings channel on the Cobblemon Discord.
Before you join
- Match the version. Pack name, pack version and loader all have to line up with the server's.
- Bring a legitimate Java account. Cobblemon.gg's FAQ says you need one. If you were hunting for cracked Cobblemon servers instead, cracked Minecraft, explained covers what you'd be getting into.
- Check the RAM. Complex wants 3 to 5 GB, Ascendant about 6 GB.
- Not in the US? Nearly every Cobblemon server listed on Modrinth runs from US East. Pixelax (Europe), Mundo Cobblemon (South America) and CobbleWobble (Australia) are the exceptions there, so expect some ping if you're elsewhere.
- Read the store before you pay. Every server here has one, and what each sells is on its own site.
So which Cobblemon server should you join?
Want the biggest crowd and a long gym run? Complex. Want the easiest install? Cobblemon.gg. Want something that isn't the usual formula? Ascendant's roguelite mode. Want a build space of your own? MMO Realms. If you're just after a general modded list that also has Create servers, my modded Minecraft servers page has those too. Whichever you pick, install the matching pack first.
