Most lists of Minecraft minigame servers are sorted by network, which is backwards if you already know what you want to play. You don't wake up wanting "a network". You want SkyWars, or Hunger Games, or a round of Murder Mystery. So this page is sorted by mode. Five servers, one verdict per mode, and the edition each one runs on, because that's what decides whether you can join at all. Everything here was checked on October 18, 2026.
Short version: on Java, Hypixel has the widest range and MCC Island is the one for parkour and party games. On Bedrock, The Hive covers every mode on this page. CubeCraft runs on both editions. Galaxite is Bedrock-only and goes its own way.

Minecraft SkyWars servers
SkyWars is a battle royale on floating islands: loot your island, bridge to the middle, knock everyone into the void. Plenty of servers run something with that name, and they're not all the same game.
- Hypixel (Java): its own take, with the Angel of Death, and souls that unlock kits and perks. If you want SkyWars with a long progression tail, start here.
- CubeCraft (Java and Bedrock): SkyWars is one of the modes it's built around, and it got an update on September 10, 2026 on both editions: a beta voting mode and new weekly items. The catch is that the Advanced mode needs the Bedrock SkyWars Pass or the Java Diamond Rank, so part of it is behind a purchase.
- MCC Island (Java): it calls its version Sky Battle. Team islands, loot and a closing border. It's SkyWars-like rather than SkyWars, and it sits among a lot of other games, so it works better as a sampler than as a SkyWars home.
- The Hive (Bedrock): this is SkyWars: Lucky Ores, solo or in teams of 2 to 4. Ores give items or bonuses, and there's a Mystery Chest. It's fun, but it isn't vanilla-style SkyWars, so don't expect the classic loop.
Here's my pick. On Java, Hypixel. On Bedrock, CubeCraft, or The Hive if the Lucky Ores twist sounds fun.
Survival Games servers (Hunger Games)
Same idea, different name: everyone scrambles for loot and fights until one is left. Hypixel calls it Blitz Survival Games. It's free-for-all with 16 to 32 players a round, in Solo, Team and Solo No Kits, and you get a Blitz Star after five minutes. On Bedrock, The Hive has Survival Games with 24 players, loot crates dropping from the sky and a death match when four are left. Those are the two I can point you to for this mode. Build Battle and Murder Mystery
Both of these are easy to walk into cold, which is why they're good for friend groups.
Build Battle: you get a theme and a short clock, then everyone votes. Hypixel has it, plus Guess the Build. The Hive has it with no PvP, solo or teams of two, and extended-time modes if you hate being rushed. Galaxite's Fill the Gaps is a build-and-memory game. It's good, but it isn't Build Battle.
Murder Mystery: one murderer, everyone else trying to work out who. Hypixel's Classic version has a Murderer, a Detective and Innocents. The Hive has a Murderer, a Sheriff and Innocents, and innocents can buy a Zapper bow for 10 coins. The Hive shipped its Deadly Dealings update for it on June 9, 2026.
Parkour and party games
Don't go to Hypixel for parkour: it has no parkour minigame on its game list. Pick one of these instead.
- MCC Island (Java): Parkour Warrior, plus Parkour Warrior Survivor, a parkour battle royale. It also has Hole in the Wall, To Get to the Other Side, Dynaball and Rocket Spleef Rush. It's the best party-game server on Java.
- The Hive (Bedrock): Parkour Worlds, with courses of varying difficulty, where you earn stars to unlock more worlds. Deathrun (Runners vs Deaths) and Gravity are in the same corner, and Block Party and Hide and Seek cover the party side.
- Galaxite (Bedrock): Parkour Builders, where you build and play community parkour maps. Also Prop Hunt, Hyper Racers (karts) and Chronos, a 32-player shrinking-map last-player-standing game.

Minecraft Bedrock minigame servers
On Bedrock, three of these are Featured Servers, so you don't need an address: open Play, go to the Servers tab and tap in. That's The Hive, CubeCraft and Galaxite. On consoles, Featured Servers are the only servers you can join apart from Realms, so this is the list that matters if you're on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch. The Hive is Bedrock only, and it's the one I'd try first. It's the only Bedrock pick here that turns up in every row of the table above, and its full list runs to BedWars, SkyWars, Survival Games, Murder Mystery, Build Battle, Capture the Flag, The Bridge and more. It's actively updated, with BedWars Season 5 on September 4 and the Hive-o-ween event on October 9, 2026. If you'd rather type an address, use geo.hivebedrock.cloud. You need to be in the same region as your friends to party up, so use /region if you can't see them. It supports Bedrock 1.21.130 and 26.0 through 26.52 as of October 6, 2026.
CubeCraft is the one here that runs on both editions. Its Bedrock help page says you join through the Servers tab and need an Xbox Live account. SkyWars, EggWars, Lucky Islands and BedWars are the modes I'd start with, and a Mob Hunt hide-and-seek beta launched in August 2026 on both editions.
Galaxite is the odd one out. No SkyWars, no Survival Games. Instead you get Core Wars, its own take on Bedwars, plus Chronos, Rush and the parkour and prop games above. Its Season X Update 25 landed on September 30, 2026. Join from the Servers tab.
Minecraft Java minigame servers
Hypixel is Java only. Join at mc.hypixel.net through Multiplayer, then Add Server. It's the broadest list here: Bed Wars, SkyWars, Murder Mystery, Build Battle, Blitz Survival Games, Duels, Mega Walls, The TNT Games, Turbo Kart Racers and more. It's free to join, with ranks and cosmetics for sale. It's been busy lately too, with a Halloween event on October 5 and SkyBlock 0.27.2 on October 6, 2026. CubeCraft on Java is play.cubecraft.net, and its help page says it needs 1.21.8 or newer.
MCC Island is Java only and free, at play.mccisland.net. It's from the people who run Minecraft Championship, and it's the one on this list that feels most like a game show: a rotation of short, polished minigames, plus cosmetics and fishing. Recent updates include Halloween on October 9, a Custom Game Creator on September 29 and a Hole in the Wall revamp on July 28, 2026.
Are Minecraft minigame servers dead?
Some of them are. Mineplex closed, and it was removed from the Bedrock Featured Servers list on May 15, 2023.
The big ones are still shipping, though. In the last couple of months: The Hive had BedWars Season 5 and a Halloween event, CubeCraft updated SkyWars and BedWars in September, Galaxite pushed Update 25 on September 30, MCC Island added Halloween content on October 9, and Hypixel had a Halloween event on October 5. So if you've been away, the same handful of names are still around and still updating.

- Java: Multiplayer, Add Server, paste the address, join.
- Bedrock: Play, Servers tab, pick The Hive, CubeCraft or Galaxite. No address needed.

What's the best Minecraft minigame server?
Depends on your edition. Hypixel on Java if you want the widest range, MCC Island on Java for party games and parkour, The Hive on Bedrock.
Do Minecraft minigames still exist?
Yes. The servers above all posted updates in the last few months. See the section above for who's gone.
Which minigame servers are cracked?
None here. Bedrock's Featured Servers need a Microsoft account, and CubeCraft's own Bedrock help page says it doesn't support cracked accounts or launchers like TLauncher.
Are these free?
Hypixel and MCC Island are free to join, and MCC Island calls itself free-to-play. On consoles, Featured Servers like The Hive, CubeCraft and Galaxite also need a paid online subscription on top of a Microsoft account. Hypixel and CubeCraft sell ranks, and part of CubeCraft's SkyWars is behind a pass or rank, so look at the store before you spend anything.
