Is Galaxite Safe? The Bedrock Server's Rules, Chat and Store, for Parents

What Galaxite's rules, reporting tools and store actually say, and which Microsoft settings do the real work for a kid's account.

Is Galaxite safe? For most kids, yes, as long as a parent sets up the Microsoft account first. It's a Bedrock minigame server and a Mojang Featured Server, so there's nothing to download and no odd IP to type in. The rules are strict, there's a report button, and the store is mostly cosmetics. One thing you won't find: Galaxite doesn't publish a minimum player age. Here's the picture as of November 2026.

Who runs Galaxite

Galaxite is Bedrock only, so it won't open from Java. The Minecraft Wiki's Featured Servers list has it under "Creator experiences", added in June 2020, with servers in North America and Europe. Its privacy policy names Galaxite Ltd, based in Northern Ireland, as the company behind it, and the Blockception team made most of the maps. Players often mention it in the same breath as The Hive and CubeCraft, and if you're comparing minigame servers in general, my roundup of Minecraft minigame servers covers the field.

Galaxite rules: what gets you banned

The headline rule is blunt: no client modifications that give you a benefit, ever. Break it and the ban is permanent. Staff judge each case individually, and the list on the rules page is a basis, not the full list.

The chat rules are the part parents care about:

Gameplay rules cover glitch abuse, auto-clickers, teaming with non-teammates, boosting stats with alts, going AFK on purpose for points, and repeatedly targeting one player. Inappropriate builds and inappropriate or invisible skins are out too. Wear a bad skin and you lose the ability to use custom skins on Galaxite. One line worth reading to a kid: you're responsible for everything that happens on your account.

Chat, friends and reporting

Galaxite's support page says players who break chat rules are probably muted, and bans and mutes can be appealed through its appeals page. Volunteer Helpers answer tickets and review player reports. Their own requirements say Helpers have to be at least 15.

On top of that, Mojang's own tools work on Featured Servers: you can add, mute, block and report players from the pause menu. I'd show a kid where that is before the first game.

For control over who can message or talk to your kid at all, the Microsoft communication setting below is the one that counts.

The store: Battlepass and Minecoins

Per Galaxite's support page, the store sells cosmetics: the Battlepass (a free tier and a premium one), avatars and other cosmetic items. The free Battlepass gives a limited reward every 6 to 7 levels, and premium gives one at every level. Seasons run roughly 3 to 4 months, you can't unlock old seasons' rewards afterwards, and avatars only work on Galaxite.

You buy the season Battlepass from the options menu's Galaxite Store, and other items with Minecoins through the Marketplace. The server also has an "Elite" membership, XP you can buy and item gifting, as its September 2026 patch notes show. Prices bounce around, so check the in-game store rather than trusting a number from me.

Decide who holds the payment details before anyone asks for a Battlepass. For the wider Marketplace picture, there's a piece on whether the Minecraft Marketplace is safe.

What your kid needs: account, subscription, family settings

Featured Servers need a Microsoft account. On consoles you also need a paid online multiplayer subscription, such as Nintendo Switch Online or PlayStation Plus. If you're on Xbox, I walked through the steps in how to add servers on Minecraft Xbox.

Here's where the age question gets answered. Galaxite publishes no minimum player age on its rules, support or privacy pages. So I'd anchor on Microsoft. Minecraft accounts for players under 16 in the US and EU are child accounts, and only a parent account can change their settings.

  1. Sign in at account.xbox.com/settings as the parent and pick your child.
  2. Under Online Safety, set "You can join multiplayer games" to allow. Without it, a server like Galaxite won't open. Parents often get stuck here, so save on each tab and restart the game after changing it.
  3. Under Privacy, set "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites" to Everyone, Friends or Block.

Switch and PlayStation 5 have their own parental controls on top. My Minecraft parental controls guide goes through them.

What happened to Galaxite?

You'll see videos asking whether Galaxite is dead. It isn't. Its own news page shows regular updates through the year, the latest being Season X Update 25 on September 30, 2026. As of late October 2026, the Minecraft Wiki still lists it as a current Featured Server, not a removed one. Whether it's as busy as The Hive or CubeCraft is another question, but it's still running and still getting updates.

So, is Galaxite safe?

Yes, with the account set up properly. It's a moderated Featured Server with firm chat rules, a report menu in the hub, and a store that's mostly cosmetics. The risks are the usual ones for any public server: strangers, a competitive crowd, and spending. Galaxite names no age limit of its own, so here's my read, not theirs:
