Is CubeCraft Safe? Chat, Moderation, the Store and What Parents Should Know

A straight answer on chat, moderation, spending and fake sites, with the real addresses and a checklist for parents.

Is CubeCraft safe? Mostly, yes, with a caveat. It's a real, long-running Minecraft server network, not a virus, and you don't install anything to join it. The risks are the usual big-public-server ones: strangers in chat, fake sites and scams, and some rough lobbies. CubeCraft's own staff admit its Free For All mode has always been toxic. As of October 2026, here's how to join the real thing, use the safety tools and keep a younger player out of trouble.

What CubeCraft actually is (and the real addresses)

CubeCraft is a Minecraft server network that's been around since 2012, with minigames like SkyWars, Lucky Islands and EggWars. It's run by a company called Ziax Ltd, registered in England and Wales, and its site carries an Official Minecraft Partner logo. You join from inside Minecraft itself, so there's nothing extra to download.

If a site or video gives you a "Bedrock IP" or tells you to download something to play, skip it. The sites CubeCraft itself uses are cubecraft.net, store.cubecraft.net, help.cubecraft.net, reports.cubecraft.net, appeals.cubecraft.net and the short rules link cbecrft.net. Type those yourself instead of following a link someone sent you. New to adding servers? Here's how to join a Minecraft server.

Is CubeCraft legit?

Yes. It has a published rulebook, a help center, a report system and named terms of service. The chat rules ban swearing, discrimination, threats, trolling, spam, impersonating staff, advertising other servers, and trying to get people's personal information or trading goods and services. Names and skins that staff judge inappropriate can get an account banned too, and you can appeal once it's fixed.

One more thing people search for: does CubeCraft allow cracked players? Its Bedrock join page says flatly that it doesn't support cracked Minecraft accounts or launchers like TLauncher. If you're wondering what cracked launchers really get you, I wrote that up in cracked Minecraft explained.

Is CubeCraft safe for kids?

It can be, with ground rules. I wouldn't call it a closed playground. Here's what's actually on record.

My take: for a younger kid, I'd steer them to the team minigames, keep public chat off, and think hard before letting them into FFA. The Microsoft side (whether your kid can join multiplayer at all, and who can reach them) is covered in my guides to Minecraft parental controls and whether Minecraft is safe for kids.

Chat, block and safety settings

CubeCraft's own safety guidelines point to these tools. The guidelines are from 2020, so menus may have shifted. Look in-game for the current layout.

Turning off public chat and requests is the single most useful thing you can do for a younger player.

How to report someone on CubeCraft

Staff have said Bedrock has had a backlog of open reports, so don't expect an instant response. Block first, report second.

Store and spending: Java vs Bedrock

CubeCraft is free to join, but ranks, passes and cosmetics cost money, and some modes or features are reserved for people who've paid. For instance, a September 2026 SkyWars update says advanced voting mode needs the Bedrock SkyWars Pass or the Java Diamond rank. The store shows prices in whatever currency you pick, so check the storefront rather than trusting a number from me.

Decide before the first "can I get a rank?" who holds the payment details. For a wider look at in-game purchases, see whether the Minecraft Marketplace is safe.

Fake sites and scams

Any server with ranks attracts "free rank" bait. The same habits protect you everywhere:

Keeping your account safe

CubeCraft's guidelines say the basics: a strong unique password, two-factor authentication where you can, no sharing accounts, and no opening suspicious files or links. A password manager helps. Put 2FA on the email behind your Microsoft account too.

Mods and bans

Sentinel is CubeCraft's automated anti-cheat, and CubeCraft can also block connections to stop ban evasion. The rules also ban mods that give an advantage, using more than 15 clicks per second can get you kicked, and proxies aren't allowed on Bedrock. The allowed and disallowed mod list is at cbecrft.net/mods. Stick to the list, or play vanilla. For client questions, see whether LabyMod is safe, since CubeCraft's chat rules also cover LabyMod voice chat.

Parent checklist

  1. Set up a Microsoft child account first. Under 13, that's the only way CubeCraft's terms allow it.
  2. Sit in on the first session and watch the chat together.
  3. Turn off public chat and friend and party requests in the in-game settings.
  4. Teach /ignore add or Block, and /sr or the report page.
  5. Keep them out of FFA for now and start with team minigames.
  6. Rule one: no links, no "free rank" offers, no codes to anyone.
  7. Agree on purchases and who holds the card before anything gets bought.
  8. Join from the Servers tab or play.cubecraft.net only.

The short version

CubeCraft is a legitimate server that's fine if you treat it like a busy public space: turn chat down, block and report, guard the Microsoft account and watch the wallet. Its own staff say FFA is rough, so I'd keep younger kids elsewhere. For comparison, here's whether Hypixel is safe, and if you want more of the same style of play, my roundups of Minecraft minigame servers and servers like Hypixel are good next stops.
