The Best Hytale Servers in 2026: Survival, RPG, Minigames and Where to Find More

Four community servers worth a look right now, what each one is good at, and how to tell a good server from a well-voted one.

Hytale servers are everywhere and almost nobody can tell you which ones are good. Search for the best Hytale servers and you get vote-sorted directories with hundreds of near-empty entries, copy-pasted descriptions and a #1 slot that may well be a paid ad. The game's only been in early access since January 2026, so the scene is young and it moves weekly. Below are four servers I checked on their own sites on 24 October 2026, grouped by how you like to play, with the address each one publishes. After that: how to join, and how to read any server list without getting played by it.

One thing up front. If you don't have the game yet, start with is Hytale free for what it costs and where to get it. If you're weighing it against the block game everyone already owns, Hytale vs Minecraft is the one to read.

Survival and SMP servers

Hytown

Address: play.hytown.org

Hytown runs two PvE survival worlds, one for North America and one for Europe, plus a set of custom minigames. The part I like: there's no PvP at all, and the site says the PvE worlds aren't getting wiped, so what you build sticks around. The part to know about: they're also building an MMO, but by their own account it's still in development, so don't join for that. They post events (a summer Kweeblast event ran in July) and an update blog, which is a decent sign someone's home. Good for: people who want a relaxed shared world and no one raiding the base.

Histatu Network

Address: play.histatu.net

Histatu is the biggest-feeling of the four: survival, skyblock and a land-claim server (no PvP, protected claims) under one roof. It layers an RPG skills system on top, co-op raid bosses and an always-open dungeon world. Their site says ranks are grindable with no paywall, and that donations go toward server costs. That's their claim, so check the store page yourself. They also run a blog that's honest about the rough patches. After Update 6 they wrote about how it changed things under every server on that engine line, which is a good reminder that servers need a few days to catch up after big patches. Good for: players who want progression and a lot to do.

RPG servers

Hytalion Haven

Address: play.hytalionhaven.com (the site also publishes 192.135.112.140:5520)

Hytalion Haven bills itself as "Vanilla+": survival with handcrafted RPG systems and meaningful progression. It credits the community mods it runs, such as Questlines, which I appreciate. It has a Discord and a Tebex shop, so look at what the shop sells before you commit hours. Good for: survival players who want quests and structure instead of a blank map. Histatu above is the other pick in this lane, and it leans bigger and busier.

Minigame and parkour servers

Hyvexa

Address: play.hyvexa.com

Hyvexa is parkour. Dozens of maps sorted into easy, medium, hard and insane, leaderboards, 1v1 duels, and an idle-style mode called Ascend. It's the quickest of the four to get into, because you don't need a base or a plan, you just run. Expect a quiet server at off-peak times. Good for: a ten-minute session, or friends who want to race. Hytown also has minigames if you want them next to a survival world.

What about PvP and creative?

Thin, honestly. I couldn't find a PvP or creative server I'd point you at with a straight face as of late October 2026. Some PvP names float around on the lists, but several showed up offline when I looked or had no working address. Your best bet is the tag filter in the game's own server browser (more on that below), and checking back in a month. If you're mostly here for PvP and creative builds, Minecraft servers to join has a far deeper bench right now.

How to join a Hytale server

Two routes.

  1. By address. Open the multiplayer or servers screen in the game, pick direct connect (some guides call it add server), and paste the address. Hytale's default port is 5520, so if a server doesn't give you one, you usually only need the hostname. When a server publishes the port, like Hytalion Haven's numeric address, include it. Menu labels can shift between updates, so go by the idea, not my wording.
  2. Through Server Discovery. Update 5 (26 May 2026) added an in-game page where you can browse and search community servers, filter by tag, see how many players have liked or favorited each one, and keep favorites and a recently played list. Servers get there by being submitted by the owner and passing manual review against Hytale's server owner policies, and the Hytale team hand-picks a featured set. It isn't available on parent-managed accounts.

One catch: a hotfix right after Update 5 made server addresses hidden by default, so browsing Discovery doesn't always hand you an IP. If you want to connect directly, get the address from the server's own site or Discord.

And if a server won't connect, check the version first. Big updates land often (Update 7 shipped on 12 October, and Update 8 is already in pre-release as I write this), and servers lag behind the client. A few days of "can't connect" after a patch is normal. Keep your own game updated too: Hytale patched a flaw in July where a malicious server could send a crafted image that could run code on a player's PC. It was fixed the same day with no sign it was used, but it's a fair reason to stick to established servers.

How to read a Hytale server list

Third-party lists rank by votes or likes, and plenty of servers hand out in-game rewards for voting: currency, crate keys, XP boosts. So a vote tells you someone wanted the reward. It doesn't tell you the server is good. Rank says more about who runs a generous vote reward than about who runs a good server. At least one big list also sells labelled sponsored slots through an auction, so the top row can be an ad. Further down, a lot of entries have a vote or two and some sit offline. The descriptions are written by owners, and the same text often appears word for word across several lists.

What I'd check instead, in about two minutes:

If you'd rather run your own world with friends than hunt for one, my Hytale dedicated server guide covers how to set one up.

Which one should you join?

Want to build in peace: Hytown. Want something with systems and a long grind: Histatu. Want quests in a survival world: Hytalion Haven. Want to be playing in thirty seconds: Hyvexa. Addresses and server modes change, and servers in a game this new can vanish, so if one doesn't connect, check its Discord before you assume you did something wrong.
